why am i back?

i had a substack back in 2021, and started writing in 2023.

i was excited for my journey as a writer whose passion was reignited to reflect and put words to paper (or screen).

after repeated transgressions, i left substack--from allowing white supremacists and their egregious behavior to run rampant and unchecked (even the ceo of substack couldn't muster up to say with his chest, 'racism is allowed') to gambling connections, to AI usage. I left for open source.

i’ve asked others if they’d be interested in migrating and here’s the thing: not everyone can afford to move their audience and lifeline to another platform. and since most people whose work i admire and respect are on here, i came back.

not to share my writing, but to support. right now, it’s subscribing. soon (i hope) it’ll be monetary support.

it’s recognizing that not everyone has the ability and resources to migrate platforms, content and years of work—writing, audience building, relationships and support.

until then, i’ll be supporting the work of those who are envisioning and writing about a liberated world, resisting with the power of their pen (or keystroke) where all of us can live full lives, where all of us are truly free.

this will be my only substack original.
